Born by her parents Maria, and Julious, March 20th, 1939, in Filadelfia Paraguay. Hilde was one of 24 siblings. Hilde and her husband Hans and their son Orlando immigrated to Canada in 1975, with big dreams and big hearts and excited to start a new chapter in their lives.
Hilde worked in the Taber home for 20 years, and carried on volunteering her time for 19 years in MCC, and all the while helping Orlando and his wife Tracey raise their 5 children.
Hilde was known that her love language was with food, and always wanting to feed everyone. She would welcome you with open arms, and plenty of delicious cream puffs.
Every Sunday, the entire family would come together at Oma and Opas to share lunch, and to talk about how everyone's weeks were, and to be together as a family. An absolutely cherished memory by all her grandchildren.
Even as her grandchildren got older, if Oma called and said, "lunch this Sunday?" Her grandchildren would all come with their wives and husbands and all the great grandkids, that Oma loved all so dearly to come together to share a delicious meal and be together as a family.
Hilde was incredibly proud of all her grandchildren, in the partners they chose, and the children they bared. Her grandchildren, witnessed true love between her and her husband Hans, in 63 years of marriage, they were what her grandchildren looked up to and inspired them to find in their own forever partners.
Oma, you may no longer be here in body, but your spirit will live on through generations to come, you are so loved by all of us, and you will never be forgotten.
Today, tomorrow and forever Oma.
