He was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He settled his family in the Fraser Valley where he Dairy farmed until he retired to Abbotsford.
He was predeceased by Cornelia, his wife of 71 years.
John is survived by his 5 children, Maria ( Lonnie) Van Buren, Nora (Dick) Van Veen, Connie (Joe) Ranson, John, and Larry (Sharon), 7 grandchildren, Corinne, Tony, Laurie, Leslie, Hayley, Sarah, John, and 12 great- grandchildren.
He was very thankful to be cared for by the wonderful staff at MSA Manor for the last couple of years.
Private family funeral service will be held Thursday July 4 at Hazelwood Cemetery in Abbotsford.
