Julie is predeceased by her parents Vincent and Helen Kilian, her loving husband Ole Nielsen, as well as her brother Jim Kilian.
Julie is survived by her caring children Ken (Debbie) Nielsen, Kellie (Bruce) Rhyness and Jerry (Dorothy) Nielsen. She also leaves behind her six heartbroken grandchildren Carli Rhyness, Ashley (Devon) Candy, Jordan (Monica) Nielsen, Kameron Nielsen, Brooklyn Nielsen (Kolbie) and Jenna Nielsen (Joel). Julie is also fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Faye Kilian.
In addition, GG leaves behind her two special great grandchildren, Logan and Lucas Candy. Numerous nieces and nephews will also miss their Auntie Julie.
Julie was well known for her famous baking of homemade pies and her filled-to-the-rim cup of coffee. As a farmer and the wife of a trucker, she always had room for travellers, friends and family in any one of her extra rooms. She was also a reliable friend to help out those in need. She enjoyed spending time with her family, at the casino with friends, as well as playing bingo.
Julie was not afraid to share her opinions either, as we all know she did not like gray hair, nor did she like beards or tattoos or rice!
Her twinkling blue eyes will be embedded in our memories, as well as her favorite meals of toasted bacon and tomato sandwiches in addition to blueberry pancakes, fillet-o-fish and JBC’s.
Until we meet again, Gramma…We all love and miss you.
Special thanks are extended to the caregivers at Bevan Village from the family.
