The morning of December 29, 2022 KELLY KOSMAS, a devoted mother, amazing grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend went on to her final adventure which we can all be sure has animals.
Kelly is survived by her two children Steven (Tiffany) Kosmas, Demi (Chris) Letkeman, mother Patricia (predeceased Bernard) Kalancha, brother David (Marifel) Kalancha, Christine (Rick) Eden, Craig (Amy) Kalancha, self adopted sister Suzanne McWilliam and four greatly loved grandchildren. She was a single mother for most of her children’s lives and made sure that they always had everything that they needed and more. Even if that meant extra shifts at work or side jobs. Steven and Demi were always taken care of and with fierce love. You know what they say about Mamma bears?? That was her.
Kelly was born May 27, 1971 in Edmonton Alberta. Even as a small child her philosophy was that life is for living and she lived life to its fullest everyday. If you were lucky enough to be her friend, then you were loved and you were family. Kelly would do anything for a friend/family day or night. It would be safe to say that nothing would stop her from helping a loved one, except maybe an animal. Her first best friend was of the fur baby species.
Kelly could light up any room she walked into and put a smile on your face. She was just that type of person. She was always ready for a good time and you would be joining her whether you liked it or not.
Kelly was someone who cared about people, which showed in her work ethic. She loved going to work to help people and try and make a difference. She has been noted as taking special details with patients to ensure that they felt special, going above and beyond the scope of job duties in process. Kelly loved her job and the people she worked with more than words can describe. She was so fortunate to have such an amazing work family.
She loved travelling. Had many adventures all over the world. Her plan was to do anything and everything – and she sure did! When she wanted to go somewhere, there was no stopping her. That trip would be booked and if anyone wanted to join her they were welcome, but she was going either way.
The medical examiner informed the family that Kelly had passed in her sleep. She was lying on the couch with a smile on her face. Wasn’t that just like her to get the last laugh. What a wonderful image for us to hold on to. Rest well on your next journey Kelly, you will be forever loved and missed by us all.
