Kuldip Kaur Batth (most people knew her as Bhaggo) was born on December 15, 1958 in India, (Kolkata) original village Mehal Kalan, Barnala, to Babu Singh Sidhu and Jaswant Kaur Sidhu. She had two brothers, Chamkaur Singh, Balvir Singh and one sister (late) Balwinder Kaur. She was married to Randhir Singh Batth, son of S. Darbara Singh Batth and Mukhtiar Kaur Batth of the village of Gehal, Barnala. She had four lovely caring sister–in-laws, Sukhjit, Kulwant, Baljit (late), Meena and a special brother-in-law, Jasvir Singh Batth. She was a very hard working person with a positive attitude and never said no to anyone. She spent 45 years of her life in India and then she moved to Canada with her entire family in 2003. As it was mentioned before, she was a hard working person; that’s the reason she encouraged the family to buy a house here within 2 years after they moved to Canada. Even all her family members were worried about the payments. She told everyone that she would work hard to make payments and would not let the family stress about this. She lived her life for others and never thought about herself. She was a loveable, caring, and warm hearted person that you could always rely on. Kuldip Kaur always had a big smile on her face. She had a strong passion for parties, travelling and playing the harmonium. She will always be remembered for her great and bubbly personality and her outgoing nature.
Her funny story is, every time we had any party or any kind of celebration or just getting together, she always started playing her harmonium and singing. But it was not enjoyable for everyone because we all wanted to listen to Bollywood music and to dance. But she never listened to anyone and kept singing until she was ready to stop. We all bugged her and yelled at her to stop and made fun of her singing. But her answer was the same, “Almost done,” with very sweet smile. We can never forget her face, never ever. But the truth is we all enjoyed her singing as well.
She will no longer be by her family’s side, but the values she has put in place will continue to guide them in the future
