

Lila is survived by her husband Kristian Madsen and her daughter Sarah (Randy) and her grandson Ryker.
Lila was born on December 30, 1949 in New Westminster to a Robert Stacey and Laraine Poulson. Lila had two sisters Connie and Margaret (John) and a brother Steven and several extended family members. Lila found the love of her life at a young age and married Kristian Madsen on April 13th 1968 in Woodfibre B.C.. After moving with Kristian to Squamish, Lila began working at a local restaurant and drug store. Shortly after these odd jobs, she found her true passion by working at the veterinarian hospital as an office manger. Lila remained working with animals at the veterinarian hospital for the next 20 years. After 12 years of a loving marriage Lila and Kristian welcomed Sarah Madsen into their home as their only daughter. In 2016 Lila and Kristian moved to Abbotsford to be closer to their daughter, son in law and only grandson Ryker.
Lila was passionate about her family and being a great mother. Lila was an active member in the community of Squamish and was dedicated to helping animals at the veterinary office. Lila enjoyed drinking tea with friends, traveling abroad and time with her daughter. Lila was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the theatre. Lila was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Lila was always kind to others and always encouraging to her family.
Lila’s final resting place will be in Edson, Alberta along side family. A memorial tree will be planted in her honour in Mission BC for all to enjoy and to remember how fiercely Lila loved. The family would like to thank all of the staff and volunteers at Abbotsford Hospice for providing outstanding care to Lila in her last six months on this earth.
