She was born in 1934 at Chilliwack, BC, to Marion and Bill Bradshaw. June was a devoted mother to Suzanne Scanlan, Jay Trethewey and Kim Trethewey.
June lived a full life from Chilliwack to Cultus Lake and Abbotsford. After selling the Abbotsford Veterinary Hospital in 1995, she and her husband Lon began a well-deserved retirement with a new adventure, building a log home and developing a cattle ranch at Rock Creek, BC. In 2017 they returned to a quieter life in Abbotsford.
She was predeceased by brother Walter Bradshaw and his wife Barbara, and brother-in-law Len Carmichael. June is survived by her loving husband Lon Goodale, sister Bernice Carmichael, children Suzanne (Steve Scanlan), Jay (Nicole Tremblay) and Kim (Kelly Gunn), grandsons Kai Trethewey and Marshall Scanlan (Ann), and great-granddaughters Nora, Isla and Clara who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
A celebration of life will planned at a later date. Donations to the cancer society in her name are appreciated.
