Lucienne A. Carson
Born June 21, 1914
Lucienne was born in Bagnolet, Seine, near Paris, France. Daughter of Louis Bernard and Leontine Bevernaje. She married Donald Garth Carson while he was serving in the RCAF. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 and became a Canadian citizen in 1958.
After leaving the Airforce Donald enrolled in the Presbyterian College at McGill University and was ordained in 1978.
Lucienne moved to Abbotsford in 1981 when Donald accepted the call to be the Pastor at Calvin Presbyterian Church. After retirement in 1991 they enjoyed cruising, travelling in their motor home and touring in many overseas countries.
They moved into a care home in Coquitlam in 2008.
Lucienne was pre-deceased by her first husband, Auguste Arthur Maniller in 1980, son Pierre in 1994 and her beloved husband Donald in 2010. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Shirley, grand-daughter, Nicole, great-grandson Matthew and her special friend Lucie.
There will be a Memorial Service at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2597 Bourquin Crescent East, Abbotsford on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the care home, Foyer Maillard, 1010 Alderson Avenue, Maillardville, BC V3K 1W1 or Calvin Presbyterian Church.
