She was born June 28, 1950 in Edmonton Alberta, a daughter of the late John and Edna Dehid.
Lynn was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Brooks and a sister, Judy.
She loved music, singing, reading books and the Edmonton Oilers. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren.
Lynn was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She was busy raising her children and is survived by Moreen Donaldson (Andrew), Christine Gardner (Dan), Jonathan Brook (Jillian) and Robyn Brook (Brian Mann). She continued on to become a Foster parent. She provided a warm loving home to many children over the past 25 years. She gave so much of herself over those years and touched many lives. Her sons Kyle and Kory Laan (Jessica) have become part of the family. Kyle is a great dad to her youngest grandchild, Jordan.
She was a very loving Grandma to many other grandchildren (although not quite as cute as Jordan), Olivia Brook (Garret), Maguire and Jessie Donaldson, Reece and Evan Mann, and Amber and Violet Gardner.
She is survived by her sisters Dianne, Dawn and a brother Donald.
She will be missed by Al Brooks her former husband, father of her children and friend of Lynn. She also leaves behind many friends and extended family who will sadly miss her.
Special thanks to the staff and residents at Sunridge Gardens in Murrayville who made her last year a positive, happy one, full of new friends and fun experiences.
Lynn will be remembered for her beautiful smile, laugh, impeccable handwriting, her giving heart and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us.
P.S. You have a little chocolate on your face Mom.
