Marvin Danson Migwi Kamau

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Marvin Migwe on June 18, 2023.

Marvin was born in Nairobi, Kenya on October 12, 1988. He is the only beloved son to James Allan Kamau and Anne Wangu Kamau. Marvin’s early years were lived in Kenya up to the age of 14 years when the family immigrated to British Columbia, Canada.

During his early education Marvin attended Shepherd’s Jnr School, Nairobi, Kenya (1994-1999). He transferred to Makini Schools, Nairobi, Kenya where he completed his Jnr High in 2002. Marvin briefly attended Mikasa School in Langata, Nairobi in 2002-2003 before the family moved to Canada.

In Canada, Marvin joined school at Aldergrove Secondary School then Abbey Senior Secondary School where he completed Grade 12 in 2006. After high school Marvin worked various jobs and later joined the University of the Fraser Valley (Trades) where he completed his Automotive Technology course in 2010. Marvin had a passion for cars. He went to work at Fix -It Auto for 3 years. He later switched careers to go into sales and moved to Alberta where he worked with Vivint Security Systems in 2012 – 2016. He then decided he wanted to be near family and returned to Abbotsford, BC in 2017 and joined Vancity Credit Union and has been working there ever since.

Marvin lived his life to the fullest, he traveled the world, loved adventure, and made many friends. He was a fitness and health stickler, loved hiking and walking.

Marvin will be lovingly remembered and missed by his parents James & Anne, his aunties and uncles, cousins, extended family and friends from all over the world.

A funeral service for Marvin will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S1M1.

Following the funeral service there will a graveside service at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery, 33965 Maclure Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S 7W3.

A Celebration Life at Life Springs Church,3970 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S 2E3 from 2:00-4:00 pm.
