He met his wife, Hilda Hamm and they married in 1950. They went on to have four children, Jack, Jean, Judy and Peter. They had just celebrated their 70th Anniversary on November 18th, 2020.
For 33 years Peter drove ready mix truck for Lafarge Concrete. He was also a self-taught carpenter and built two homes his family lived in. He loved to tinker in the shop, building and fixing things. Peter loved to golf and spent many happy hours out on the course.
When Peter was 61, he suffered a major stroke while travelling in Arizona. That stroke left him with many challenges, but he lived more than 28 years after that, in large part to the loving, faithful love and care from his best friend, his wife. They still managed to do some travelling, including on Alaskan cruise.
Peter is survived by his wife, Hilda, his children Jack, Jean, Judy and Peter, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pretty sure when Peter entered the pearly gates, the first thing he said was “howdy”! He will be dearly missed by his family and extended family but we rejoice with him because he is now truly home, with Jesus.
