

Robert Lalonde lived in Maple Ridge for many years, he owned an insurance business called Wawanesa, that is when he met his wife Elaine Lalonde. She was the love of his life, they travelled a lot and loved weekends away dining and dancing at the Cooper room in Harrison Hot Springs.
Robert and Elaine owned a Shop Easy store in Hope BC where they lived for several years.
They sold the business and moved to Abbotsford where Robert worked as a meat inspector for Lilydale and Valley duck and goose.
Robert and Elaine purchased a cabin on Silver lake in Sumas USA, he also owned a mini warehouse in Sumas. They loved weekends away at the cabin.
Robert retired after the loss of Elaine then moved to Kelowna. His children Pauline, Sue and Craig moved Robert back to Abbotsford when his health was failing.
Robert was a smart business man with a good heart and sense of humour. He loved his children and grandchildren.
Robert enjoyed fishing on his boat, fancy dinners out as well as cooking homemade meals.
Robert loved visits with his children at Tabor and his eyes lit up when Daughter Pauline brought in coffee drinks with her Pomeranian dog Marcel. Robert would say "hi puppers" with a big smile. He loved animals.
