

Sarabjit Singh Sekhon was born on January 28, 1955 in Dhaka, distt Ludhiana, Punjab. He was son of proud parents late Sukhdev Singh Sekhon and late Bhagwant Kaur Sekhon. Sarabjit was a loving brother to Harnarinderjit Singh Sekhon, late Ajit Singh Sekhon, late Gursharan Singh Sekhon, Sukhminder Singh Sekhon and Gursharan Kaur Cheema. In the nurturing community of Mullanpur, Dhaka, Sarabjit grew into a young man until 1977 when he immigrated to Mission, B.C., Canada, where he wed Pritam Kaur Sekhon on June 4, 1977. Together, Sarabjit and Pritam raised a family of four children including daughters Rempy, Rinku and Raveena, as well as son Ronnie and in 2011 welcomed their son in law Jas into the family.
From his base in British Columbia, Sarabjit ventured into residential and commercial real estate. Including, one of his successful investments the flagship "Matsqui Service Station". All who had the good fortune of knowing Sarabjit, will fondly recall his love of companionship with good family and friends. Sarabjit enjoyed food, company of family and friends equally in the comfort of home, and during travels (especially his native India). He left us on April 24, 2013 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, at the age of 58.
