Susan Wallace Hosler

Susan Wallace Hosler (nee Meekin) of Abbotsford, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday evening May 3, 2014 at the age of 96½ years. She was born in San Francisco, California, September 8, 1917. Her family moved to Duchess, Alberta when she was just a couple years of age. Susan became a full time home maker when she married Roy Hosler on August 31, 1942 and moved to the Rainier, Alberta area where Roy worked with the Eastern Irrigation District. Susan and Roy travelled in their RV’s all over North America and enjoyed fishing wherever they went.

Susan was predeceased by her husband Roy on January 26, 1988; her parents Samuel & Margart Meekin, half brother Bill Scott and sister Elizabeth Plew. She had no children but cherished her many friends, especially those living in the Fircrest estates where she made her home for many years. The funeral service will be held at the Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23rd with Pastor Dan Goldsmith officiating followed by interment at the Hazelwood Cemetery, Abbotsford.
