Theo Van Haaster

Our loving Dad, Theodorus (Theo) Van Haaster passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was a long time bulb grower in Bradner and in his retirement years, continued to enjoy sharing his flowers, cycling with his yellow wooden klompen, a sight on Abbotsford roads that would inspire many a smile, and he loved spending quality time with his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Alida, whom he loved with all his heart, and two precious sons, Johnnie and Louie. Theo is survived by his daughter Trudy, and sons, Peter, Ted and Alen; as well as grandchildren: Charlene, Gina, Shelley, Nico, Steven, Jamie, Tomas, Tara, Amanda and Rodney and 11 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Street, Abbotsford, followed by interment at Mt. Lehman Cemetery, and a reception in the church hall, afterward, to celebrate and honor, Theo’s life. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
