He grew up in the downtown area of Toronto with his mom and dad Ruth and Louis Jeffrey and 3 other brothers Paul (Carol), David (Toni), and Frank (Lori).
Bill attended Meisterschaft College in Toronto and later apprenticed as a Mobile Crane Operator for many years in Toronto eventually gaining skills enough to erect the CN Tower in downtown Toronto. Later Bill moved his family to British Columbia around 1980 and again gained considerable attention from Gwill Crane to help build the Annacis Island Swing Bridge in 1986 over the Annacis Channel of the Fraser River.
All Bill's life both in Ontario and BC was the avid interest in hockey where he became a coach in Etobicoke for The Royal York Rangers in the late 70's coaching his younger brother David in the Minor Hockey League and the All Star Team. Bill arranged for his All Star Team to fly to Winnipeg and play in the Annual Winnipeg Winter Carnival where they won the Tournament defeating a team from Kirkfield. In BC Bill coached baseball and hockey with great enthusiasm. After retiring from the construction and crane business Bill decided to enter the world of real estate and flourished in development and land acquisitions in both Richmond and White Rock. He was also a Director of the Vancouver Real Estate Board.
Bill's favourite pastime was driving his boat around the crystal clear waters of Crystal Lake, Saskatchewan with all his grandchildren. Happily pulling them water skiing and bumping through the waters
as fast as they wanted to go on their water floats.
Everyone will remember Bill's sense of humor and story telling for
many years to come.
William passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 81.
