

Anna Lee Lewis, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, was born on August 5, 1930, in the quiet town of Henrietta, Texas, to the late Karl and Anna Kafer.
She had recently celebrated her 96th birthday with her family. Her early years were spent surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family, alongside her siblings Lydia Althof, Edward Kafer, Ruth Gardner, and Rosemary Schaffner who have preceded her in death.
Anna's journey through life was marked by kindness, dedication, and love. She graduated from Highland High School in 1948. Shortly after, she began her first job at F.W. Woolworth's, where she worked for several years before marrying the love of her life, Ray
Lewis, on October 12, 1951, in Sweetwater, Texas. The couple shared a beautiful life together until Ray's passing, and their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership.
Anna embraced her role as a full-time housewife and mother with grace and devotion. She is survived by her three children: Rick Lewis and wife Jane, Ron Lewis and wife Celia, and Leanna Mitchell and husband Blake. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated herself to nurturing and guiding them with unwavering love. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren—John, Lacy, Jonathan, Kate, Blaire, and Brooklyn—and her seven
great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride.
In addition to her family responsibilities, Anna served her community with compassion and dedication. She was a long-time volunteer at Hendrick Hospital and gave generously of her time and energy to the elderly through her involvement with North Park Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a cherished member of the church community.
Anna's love for writing was a gift she shared with her family. She enjoyed keeping a journal and often penned heartfelt letters to her children and grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of words and wisdom that will be treasured for generations.
Anna Lee Lewis's life was one of love, service, and dedication to her family and community. Her gentle spirit and unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
