Ben “Bear” McWilliams, 63, of Abilene, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, located at 5701 Hwy 277 South. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
Ben was born on February 11, 1955 to Henry Benjamin and Aldaphyne McWilliams in Abilene. He graduated from Abilene High School. He worked for Rentech Boilers for many years, until he retired due to his health.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ben is survived by his older brother, Charles McWilliams of Houston; sister, Kay Fanghor of Temple; younger brother, Steve McWilliams of Potosi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
