Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2011, in Elmwood Memorial Park, with James Steele officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South. The family will receive friends for a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Billie was born August 24, 1931 to Blanche (Polston) and Ralph Grider in Lockwood, Missouri. She married Chris W. Kramer on February 27, 1950. Billie was a homemaker and a member of Crescent Heights Baptist Church. She was a very loving and supportive mother and grandmother. Billie was known as the "encourager" of her family.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; a son, Eddie Kramer; and an infant son.
Survivors include her mother, Blanche Grider of Abilene; son, Scott Kramer and wife, Ronda, of Abilene; two daughters, Mary Christie and Kay Kramer Green, both of Abilene; two brothers, Donald Grider of Sonora, Texas and Dale Grider of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Kimberly Willingham, Robert Christie, Chris Green, Brooke Kramer, and Jarrett Kramer; great-grandchildren, Kelby, Megan, Darren, and Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
