

Bobby C. Hewitt, 52, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at a local medical center. Funeral services will be 11:00a.m., Friday, June 22, 2012, in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. Burial will follow in Hamby Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Bobby was born October 13, 1959 in Abilene, TX to Eugene and Bonnie Murry Hewitt. He worked in special projects at Hendrick Medical Center for 15 years.
Bobby enjoyed being around his family, hunting, fishing, and cooking on the grill. He especially loved playing with his grandkids. Bobby coached little league baseball and football and he loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys play.
One of Bobby’s favorite things to do was watch the sun come up on a beautiful day. He loved everybody and would do anything for you. He was a mountain of a man.
Preceding him in death were his father, Eugene Hewitt; his sister, Sabrina Hues; and a son, Bryson Pate.
Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Hewitt of Hamby; his wife, Gina Guerrero-Hewitt of Eula; sons, Curtis Ethan Hewitt and wife, Ronda of Abilene, Coen Seth Hewitt of San Angelo, Texas, and Jackson Cole Hewitt of Eula; a daughter, Meagen Self and husband, Anthony of Abilene; a brother-in-law, Ota Hues of Granbury; two sisters, Brenda Smith and husband, David and Marsha George and husband, Carey, all of Abilene; two brothers, Tommy Hewitt and wife, Paula of Abilene and Phillip Hewitt and wife, Sandra of Abilene; grandchildren, Ethan Curtis Hewitt, Addison Jo Hewitt, and Dana Self, Jessica, Shelby, Carol, and Emily Self; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
