

A memorial service will be held on Thursday,November 3,2022 at 6:00 PM at Crescent Heights Baptist Church in Abilene. A Celebration of Life will follow the memorial service at Grover Nelson Park.
Richard was born on February 3, 1989 in Abilene, Texas. He was the youngest child born to the late Henry Lee Elmore and Teresa Ann (Hanke) Elmore and enjoyed being the baby of the family. He grew up in Abilene where he graduated from Cooper High School in 2009. Richard began working at young age with his father and always had a good work ethic. Richard loved working on cars, listening to his music, cooking, and being surrounded by people he cared about having a good time. He will be remembered for his loyalty to those he loved and giving even if it was his last. He overcame many of life’s challenges to make those he loved proud.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Elmore; grandfather, Malcolm Marshall; grandmother, Cleva Relford; uncles, Billy Don Elmore, and Gary Buffington.
He is survived by his mother, Teresa Elmore; his siblings, David Thayer and his wife, Cynthia; Telia Fay Elmore; his grandmother, Mary Helen Marshall; nieces and nephews, Dante, Jade, and Gavin Thayer, Paige, Ivy, and Seth Johnson; 4 aunts; 3 uncles; a host of cousins; a best friend, Yoshi Hopes; and numerous other special friends and family members.
