Celestino was born on April 6, 1938, in Sanderson, Texas. He was born to the late Candelario and Basilia (Salas) Barron. Understanding responsibility and family support, he left school in the 11th grade and began working on a local ranch. He then went to work for Terrell County. He married the love of his life, Gregoria Castro, on July 22, 1967, in Sanderson, Texas. Through this marriage Celestino became a member of the Castro family treating many of them as his own siblings and like his children. He worked for Frank Wiggins Truck Stop for several years. He then relocated to Odessa where he worked for Gibsons Grocery Store before beginning a long career with Coca Cola. While in Odessa the doors of the Barron family home hung on welcome hinges to all who passed by and even needed a place to stay for life’s journeys ahead. The family eventually settled in Abilene in 1987. He was 37-year member of St. Vincent Catholic church.
He enjoyed telling stories and sharing life experiences with others. He enjoyed singing, football and most of all his grandchildren. He was proud of all his grandchildren and loved sharing his legacy with those he met. He was truly a family man he loved his wife two daughters and their families. He took pride in making sure those he cared about were taken care of.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife Gregoria Barron; infant son, Paul Edward Barron; sister, Margarita Barron; brothers, Juan, Candelario Jr., and Manuel Barron.
