

Cynthia Elaine Watts, 47, passed away following a short illness on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be 11:00a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016 in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Burtis Williams officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene. Visitation will be from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., today Wednesday February 24, 2016 at the funeral home.
Cynthia was born on June 20, 1968 in Abilene, Texas. She attended public schools and graduated from Abilene High in 1985. Cynthia also attended TSTC studying medical transcription and achieved the title of Master Gardener from Texas A&M. She enjoyed studying the word of God by faithfully reading her bible and studying scripture. Cynthia was a very jovial person; loving life and her family. She loved to cook and share tips and recipes with her mom. Cynthia’s favorite food was her infamous chicken fried steak. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Wesley Watts. Cynthia leaves behind her mother, Barbara Kay Gray and husband, Bill of Abilene; an uncle, Robert Hargus of Tye; an aunt, Harriett White of Lueders; two brothers, Nick Watts and wife, Michelle of Lubbock and David Gray and wife, Jan of Gainesville, TX; three sisters, Susan Halgren and husband, Lance of Austin, Kayla Gray, Debbie Dowdy and husband, Cliff of Montrose, CO; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
