

Donald George Baglin, 71, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Abilene, TX. Graveside inurnment will be held at 10:00a.m., on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St.
Donald was born on August 19, 1943 in Dayton, Kentucky to George and Margaret Baglin. He graduated from Bellevue High School in Kentucky and joined the United States Air Force in 1962. He was a jet engine mechanic during his service in the military and was medically retired during the Vietnam War. Donald then attended and graduated the Sooner Trade School of Oklahoma City for heating and air conditioning. He later served as a civilian in the HVAC department at Dyess AFB.
Donald married Zandre Turner on July 17, 1966. He enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, and traveling. He especially loved his dog, Buddy. Donald was a Mason and was a member of the John Sayles Lodge in Abilene.
Survivors include four children, Brian Baglin, Theresa Morales and her husband, Michael Baglin and his wife, and Kimberly Acord and her husband; and nine grandchildren.
