Doris Evelyn Hallmark

Doris gained her wings and went to be with the Lord on Sunday Dec. 31, 2017. She was ready and waiting for God to call her home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St., with burial following in Hawley Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6 to 8pm Friday evening at the funeral home.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a fabulous cook and homemaker. She was well known for her pecan pie. Everyone who met her loved her. She is already missed by many. She was ready to be reunited with her husband Billy of 72 yrs. We know it was glorious for them both.

Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Curry; husband Billy B. Hallmark; and 2 sisters, Juanita and La Veda.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Willis and husband Ron of Anson, Brenda Kiker of Anson, and Marsha Smith and husband Tom of Abilene; grandchildren, Gaylan Hess of Abilene, Lanaee Brooks of Merkel, Misti Allen of Abilene, Kyra Tooke of Anson, and Brandon Kiker of Arkansas; 11 great grandkids and 5 great-great grandkids.
