Early Ray Hamilton Brown

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February, 26, 2011, at Galilee Baptist Church with Larry Shead, Sr. and Reverend Bobby King officiating. Burial will follow in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Early was born December 8, 1956 to Catherine Garrett and Eli Hamilton, Sr. He was married to Debra Allen for 30 years. They were blessed with four children. Early loved to watch television, especially movies and sports. He enjoyed collecting rings and visiting with family and friends.

Early was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank Henry, Jr. and Fredrick Brown.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Rosemary Nziramasamga; three sons, Landan Coco Brown, Tyrone Washington, and Early Ray Brown, Jr.; four daughters, Laila Hawkins, Shantea Shavonne Brown, Erica Shavonne Brown (Eloy) Cancino, and Enitra Brown (Gregory); four brothers, Herman Brown (Lisa), Sedrick Brown, Eli Hamilton, Sr., and Frank Hamilton, Sr.; ten sisters, Betty Stokes (Al), Lois Hamilton, Almose Shead (Larry, Sr.), Frankie Mae Hutter, Roberta Henry (David), Snora Henry, Twyla Brown, Felicia Henry, Bernice Andrews, and Barbara Texas (Alford); eleven grandchildren, Catera Cogan, Alexa and Gabriella Cancino, Jackie Darrough, Jr., Justice Darrough, Surmone Hart, Aarzo Rhodes, Tyrone Washington, Jr., Tyanna Washington, Sincere and Kaydence Brown; and one great-granddaughter, Sy Darrough.

Serving as pallbearers are Eldon Garrett, Ronnie Carroll, Andre Christian, Jack Cummings, George Calloway, Randy Henry, Billy Cummings, and Charles Snead. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyrone Washington, Rodrick Henry, Lykeith Cole, Jr., Richard Daniels, Eddie Lee Harris, Patrick Garrett, Early Brown, Jr., Larry Shead, Sr., and Larry F. Shead, Jr.
