Edna Ramie Mills

Edna R. Mills, 92, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at a local medical center. Funeral services will be 1:00p.m., Friday, April 6, 2012 at Elmcrest Baptist Church with Burtis Williams officiating. Burial will be at 3:00p.m. in Moran Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St., Abilene, TX. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8p.m. at the funeral home.

Edna was born on September 11, 1919 in Moran, TX to John Edward McKelvain and Ramie Josephine Seela. She was a lifelong member and a PRAYER WARRIOR at Elmcrest Baptist Church. Edna loved photography, gardening and quilting.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Shirley Sumner and a son, James Mills.

Survivors include a daughter, Jimmie Arey of Abilene; grandchildren, Dora Lynn Swindell, Jay Arey, Cheryl Jepson, and Ron Ayres; eight great-grandchildren, Rachelle, James, Cynthia, Tanner, Corey, Ryan, Cody, and Chance; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
