Elizabeth Ann Dodd

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, Abilene, with Ben Richardson officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth was born February 9, 1931 to Jesse Ware and Mary E. (Kelly) Ware in Huntsville, Missouri. She graduated from high school. Elizabeth married Earnest Dodd on October 8, 1949 in Huntsville, Missouri. They moved to Abilene, Texas in 1981. Elizabeth worked for 16 years in the food service industry. She was employed by a home health care agency as a family assistance person, retiring after 15 years. Elizabeth was a Baptist and a member of the church on Grape and Ambler. She was a very loving Mom and Grandmother.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Law of Tye, Texas and Debbie Clark of Gonzales, Louisiana; one son, Carl Dodd of Abilene, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
