E.C. (Elmer Clarence) Sanders, 70, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at his residence in Abilene. Arrangements for cremation are in care of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Elmer was born on September 14, 1945 in Hamlin, TX to the late Paul Bynum and Vernetta Lucille Henderson Sanders. Preceding him in death were his parents; and one great-granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Connie Sanders; his children, Valarie Dean and husband, Timothy, Terry Sanders, and Jerry Sanders; his step-children, Angela Briley and her husband, Jamie, and Matthew McDaniel and his wife, Valerie; and eighteen grandchildren.
