Emily Ruth Gage

She was born on November 15, 1927, to Burnel Chester Selden and his wife Aleene Dorothy in Beaumont, TX. She later married, Bobby Joe Gage, and they were married for forty six years.

Emily loved and was involved with her family. She would volunteer at a nursing home where both her mother and mother-in-law were staying. When they passed away she continued to volunteer there because she had made friends with so many others. Her grandchildren all had the benefit of learning how to play card games from her. One of their favorites that she taught everyone was Canasta. Her warm enthusiasm will be missed.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; son-in-law, T.R. Green; sister, Dorothy Mae Selden; grandson, Shawn Connally;and great grandson, Callan Connally.

Emily is survived by her sons, Bobby Gage and his wife, Debbie of Albuquerque, N.M., David Gage and his wife, Faith of Abilene; daughters, Barbara Green of Abilene, Pat Sasin of Albany, TX, Karen Boyer and her husband, Bob of Abilene, Jean Evans and her husband, Jon of Abilene; a brother, Burnel Selden; a sister, Margie Selden; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
