To the family of Ms. Ashford. The one thing I remember about her was her gentleness. Also, she always presented herself as a Lady. May she rest in leave.

Ernestine was a very special person! I taught with her at the old Woodson High School from 1977-1981. She taught adult Home Economics classes and my students were bussed from Franklin Middle School. I remember Aaron as a little boy coming to visit his mom at school. And how ironic, several years later when I was teaching at Woodson Center for Excellence Aaron was my substitute. How life makes a true circle. I will cherish the memories of your mother. She was an inspiration to me because of her patient way for dealing with people and her love of the Lord!
