Eupha Modene Morrison

Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Potosi Cemetery with Chaplain Aaron Coleman officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory Street. Viewing will be from 8a.m. to 8p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Modene was the third of eight children born to Sallie Jones Goodloe and John Prentice Goodloe in Locker, TX on October 8, 1925. She married Grady O. Morrison on March 17, 1944 in Brownwood. They moved to Abilene and in 1957 purchased Abilene Welding Supply. They owned and operated the business until 1983. They then moved to Brownwood continuing to work in the welding supply industry until retirement in 1987.

She was a member of United Methodist Church in Early, TX.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Grady; three brothers, Noel, Wayne, and Norvis Goodloe; and two sisters, Mabel Goodloe Gentry and Dean Sanford.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Morrison and wife Stacy of Midland; two daughters Kathy Davis and husband Jeral of Abilene and Karen Forbes and husband Ocie of Brownwood; two sisters Joyce (Carrigan) Ragland and husband Bob of San Saba and Gaye Hightower of Phoenix Arizona; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
