

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2011, at Emmanuel Community Church, 826 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas, with Bishop Mack Moye officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Burial will follow in the Abilene City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Floyd was born to Lois and Floyd W. Greene on December 17, 1959. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Floyd graduated from Cooper High School in 1979. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1978 to 1983. Floyd lived in Midland for several years and was employed by Midland Country Club. He moved back to Abilene where he enjoyed doing lawn work and he loved helping the elderly.
Floyd was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Rosie Lee Cook and Rosie Lee Greene; his grandfather, Romie Green; his nephew, Yancy Daniels; stepfather, Melvin Williams; and aunt, Rosie Dunn.
Survivors include his loving mother, Lois Williams of Abilene; Father Floyd Greene of Midland, Ann Daniels, Billy Don Daniels, and Rick Greene, all of Houston, Texas, Renee and Greg Wilcox of Arlington, Texas, Opal and Larry Gary (special friend, Gary Lowry), Sandra and Hank Brown, Debra Bryant, Marvin Daniels (Rusty), Regina Williams and Wayne Watkins, all of Abilene; loving aunt, Dorothy J. Crain; wife, Ceclia Jones of Abilene; stepchildren, Tasha Hamilton, Nicole Jones, Janet Gray, Marla Gray; eight grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Floyd was loved by everyone; was a loving caring person; and he will be dearly missed by all.
