Frank Stewart Sturgeon Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at “Mission Abilene", 3001 North 3rd Street, Abilene, Texas, with Chad Mitchell officiating, directed by Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 North 2nd, Abilene.

Frank was born January 2, 1951 in the small town of Pecos, Texas, the son of the late Frank and Louise Sturgeon. Frank was passionate about many things including spending time with his children. Strangers did not exist in Frank’s lifetime as he loved people in general. From old Chevy hotrods and Rat rods to Harley Davidson motorcycles, Frank lived to ride, customizing each one of his projects from the ground up.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Sturgeon and Frank Sturgeon, Sr.; and his son, Michael "Scottie" Scott.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Sturgeon; daughters, Jaime Sturgeon, Casey Hanks and husband, Mike, and Charli Chambless; step-sons, Robby and Jesse Hanks; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Christy Sturgeon and Walter and Christine Truelove; four grandsons; five granddaughters; and several nephews and nieces.
