Burial will be in Pampa’s Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Directors of Abilene.
George Anthony Adamie was born June 9, 1949, in Pampa, Texas to George and Tilda Ghislaine (Michiels) Adamie. He had been an Abilene resident since he was nine years old, after moving from Borger. George was a resident of the Abilene State Supported Living Center for sixty six years.
George enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, attending chapel services, taking tram rides, nature walks, visiting the zoo, including trips to the dog park. His favorite activity was taking long drives to visit the equestrian center at Buffalo Gap.
George loved his family. He was a faithful son, protective brother, loving individual who dearly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death, by his parents, sister, Marilyn Chapman of Borger, TX, and brother, Philip Adamie of Borger, TX.
Survivors include his two nephews, Sam Adamie and wife Shelly of Aledo, TX, and Kurt Adamie of Aliso Viejo, CA.
