George Gregory Jr.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Chris Hale officiating, directed by Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 North 2nd, Abilene.

George was born February 14, 1957 to George Gregory, Sr. and Lillie Gregory in Waco, Texas. He graduated from Connally High School in Waco, Texas. George moved to Abilene in 1980. He worked for Broadway Wrecking from 1980 until 1998. George purchased A-1 Wrecking in 1998. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandsons. George loved his animals.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Gregory, Sr. and a sister, Tammy Gregory.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Gregory; his mother, Lillie Johnson and husband, Richard; daughter, Michelle Gallagher and husband John; brothers, Allen Gregory and Andy Gregory; sisters, Joyce Gregory and Sharon Bruton and husband Howard; grandchildren, Devin and Dylan Gallagher; and brother-in-law, Larry Cross; and extended family members, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the special care given to their loved one by Hendrick Hospice.
