Harold B. Cornelison, Jr. (Bubbas), 83, passed away on April 6th, 2025 in Abilene, Texas.
Visitation will be at 1:00pm, Friday, April 11th at Broadview Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm, with David Cason and Senior Pastor, Wes Terry of Broadview Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories. Services are under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy. 277 South, Abilene, Texas 79606.
Harold was born in Victoria, Texas to Harold B., Sr. & Pauline(Putney) Cornelison on December 3rd, 1941. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1963. He married the love of his life, Mary in July of 1963 in Albany, Texas. He worked as a home-builder for many years but his favorite job was as an Economics teacher at Abilene Cooper High School for 17 years. He also taught adult Sunday school at Broadview Baptist Church for over 30 years.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and his and Mary’s precious daughter, Cathy Ann.
Harold is survived by his wife, Mary Cornelison of Abilene, Texas, his son, Mark Cornelison and wife, Cathy of Cleburne, Texas, his sister, Jeannie Hall and husband, Larry of Waxahachie, Texas, his grandchildren, Isaac “Chism” Cornelison and wife, Jamie of Austin, Texas, Glendie Cotto and husband, Rob of Carrollton, Texas, and Josiah B. Cornelison and his wife, Beth of Lynchburg, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Chism Cornelison, Josiah B. Cornelison, Rob Cotto, Larry Hall, & Don Chambers.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to Broadview Baptist Church or Hendrick Hospice.
