Hazel Claxton

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, Abilene, with Reverend Jim Andrews of Bethel Baptist Church, Eastland, Texas officiating. Burial will follow in Round Mound Cemetery, Round Mound, TX, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was preceded in life by her husband, Charles Calvin Claxton; her son, Jeffery Lynn Claxton; her mother, Allie Rebecca O’Briant; and her father, Benjamin Franklin Hines.

Mrs. Claxton is survived by her son, Randy Claxton of Aledo, Texas; her three daughters, Sheila Anthony of Fort Worth, Texas, Charlene Lorenzo of Nassau, Bahamas, and Becky Brittain of Galveston, Texas; also, four grandchildren, Justin Anthony, Atley Rawlins, Sharde Santiago, and Akasia Rawlins; and seven great-grandchildren.
