Mama, Judy, Mackenzie, and Henry
We had a Family dinner at Town Crier. All the Abilene family was there. It was a wonderful night, and now an even more special memory, of Mom's last Christmas with us.

We laid my sweet Mother to rest yesterday, 10/10/2018, surrounded by family and friends. My special thanks to Jimmy Griffith, pastor from Belmont Baptist Church, who led the funeral service, and dear friend Jim "Bobo" Richardson, who gave a heartfelt eulogy, and cousin Ronnie Laird, who played his guitar as Quanah Parker led us in singing.
The songs "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were Mom's favorites. They also led us in singing "Jesus Loves Me", and "Jesus Loves the Little Children."
Elliott Hamil took care of our family with respect and dignity.
Members of Belmont Baptist Church provided a family dinner before the services, in the place we have felt so loved and welcomed since the 1980's, and lovingly packaged food for us to take home.
To each one who attended the visitation on Tuesday night, and those who attended the services yesterday............we were honored to have you there, and felt the love for Mama and for all of us.

I have never lived without my Mama before, but I know that she has shown me how to do it, with courage and strength, as she showed us when she lost my daddy ( in 1986), and her baby, ( Van in 1998), and my brother, ( Donnie in 2002) and my niece, her grand daughter, ( Meagan in 2017). It brings me great comfort to picture her in heaven, with all of them and others she loved.
