

Ida Blanche (Polston) Grider, 96, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at her residence in Abilene. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Crescent Heights Baptist Church with Brother Rudy Fambrough officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South. A visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 6:30p.m. - 8:30p.m. at the funeral home.
Blanche was born September 14, 1914 in Dade County, Missouri to Flossie and Henry Polston (both deceased). She was a Sunday School teacher at Crescent Heights Baptist Church. Blanche loved the Lord and touched many lives and will be sorely missed by all.
Preceding her in death were her husband Ralph C. Grider; her only daughter Billie Kramer; a grandson Eddie Kramer; a granddaughter Nancy Grider; three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include two sons Donald A. Grider and wife Earlene of Sonora, TX and R. Dale Grider and wife Mary Beth of Longview, TX; grandchildren Mary Christie, Kay Green, Scott Kramer, Karen Duke, Janice Grider, Douglas Grider and Mackie Gilmore; many great-grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren too numerous to name but always loved her to full capacity which was incredible. She leaves behind many friends and family.
