Jeremy affectionately known as “8-Ball” was born on March 19, 1971 in Texarkana to the late Danny Neal Howze and Wanda Yvette Wade. He spent his early years moving around but spent the most time in Atlanta where he graduated High School in 1990. He enjoyed the usual mischief of most young men growing up in a small town; he especially enjoyed reminiscing on times with his friends walking the railroad tracks. He married April Michele they enjoyed many years together before her passing in 2014. Jeremy was blessed to find love again and married Juan Shanelle on December 4, 2014. Jeremy was a lover of the great outdoors anything from, hunting, fishing, camping, and even had an excellent green thumb when it came to roses. He was an excellent cook, family and friends will savor his delicious dishes for generations to come. Professionally he was a mechanic and could always be relied on to help family and friends with vehicle problems. He was a skilled blacksmith and Knife maker and was a member of the Texas Knife Makers Guild here in Abilene. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend who often put the needs of others before his own. This could be seen through the many selfless acts he performed for others such as hurricane relief, but never wanting recognition. He appreciated relationships and cherished those who were in his life. Though his passing seems to have come to soon a lifetime of precious memories will be cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved step-mother who was more like a mom, Sally “GeGe” Clyde Howze; and his first wife, April Michele Howze.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Juan “Sunny” Howze; children, Chandra Goldner, Kassidy Clark, Paige Driskell, and her husband Stephen, and Jim Morgan Bivens; siblings, Amber O’Neal and James Fallis; cherished grandchildren, Thomas Holloway, and Kylee Driskell; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
