Jesse was born on January 10, 1963 in Abilene to the late Victor C. Gonzales and Virginia (Rodriguez) Gonzales in Abilene, TX. He grew up in local schools graduating from Abilene High School in 1981. It was during these years he developed a strong work ethic getting his first job at Burger King. He went on to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Following his time at Tech, he relocated to Fort Worth where he worked for Office Max and DFW Airport, before his employment at the Marriott and the AT&T Stadium in the Pro Shop. He flourished in his current jobs because with his outgoing and generally friendly personality he was able meet so many different people. Being a huge Cowboys fan working in the pro-shop was a perfect fit, especially because he could treat his family to cowboy's merchandise. Jesse had natural concern for others and once you became a friend you soon became like family. He loved his family dearly and usually would call his mother every day. Above all, he was an avid collector of Cowboy's memorabilia and was one of their number one fans. He was a loving and kind soul and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor C. Gonzales; his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Anita Rodriguez; his paternal grandparents, Jesus and Sandra Gonzales; uncles Willie, Frank, and Robert Rodriguez, Juan, and Ferman Gonzales; aunts, Lupe Ascencio, Vicki Rodriguez, and Valentina Perez.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his mother, Virginia R. Gonzales,; sisters, Sandra Smith, Brenda Flores and her husband, Gilbert, Lisa Mayes and her husband, Darren; nieces and nephews, Shelbi, Sara, and Jeremy Mayes, Tiffany Maurer, and Nathan Smith; great nieces, Lexi and Kai Smith; a host of loving Rodriguez and Gonzales aunts, uncles, cousins; and numerous loving and supportive colleagues from work.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.elliott-hamil.com for the Gonzales family.
