When I was little I would hear a story about Jessie and where he was serving his country. Uncle Jessie told me he would rather be flying than driving. Jessie was a brave man who was ready to jump in a plane at a moments notice to serve his country and always in his pocket currency from around the world because he just never knew where he would be.
We Love You

Uncle Jessie was an inspiration to many and dearly loved by family and friends. He was my hero! I always admired him for his love of his country. He served in two branches of the military. During WW II, he was in the US Marine Corps. After the war ended he took flying lessons and qualified to join the US Air Force where he flew over 100 missions during the Korean War. My memories of Uncle Jessie are visions of seeing him in uniform. My earliest memory is a picture of him in his Marine Corps uniform that hung in my grandmother’s house. In coming years, I would see him in his air force uniform. He was faithful to his God, his country, his family and his friends.

I worked with Jess for thirty years. There’s never been a better man on this earth. He and Richard were members of the Roughneck Bible Class when they lived in Breckenridge. We should all pattern our life after him.
He’s with Rose now and fulfilled.
We all loved him.

We will miss Jess at Crossway Baptist Church. Jess was always on the front row with his son and brother.  He was always kind and happy . Jess didn't talk much but when he did everyone listened.
