

Joe Ramos, 58, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away May 14, 2015 in Abilene, Texas. Joe was born December 19, 1956 in Lamesa, Texas to Jacob and Delfina (Ramirez) Ramos. He worked for Gandy’s for over 35 years in both Midland and Abilene. At his passing, Joe was the Senior Branch Manager. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe loved bowling and golf, however, his favorite pastime was cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Delfina Ramos; sister, Josie Parker and brother-in-law, John Garza. Survivors include his wife, Romelia Ramos; son, Jose Jimenez and wife Estela of Midland; daughter, Priscilla Flores and husband Daniel, Jr. of Abilene; grandchildren, Michael, Lupita, Alejandro, Julianna, Cristian, Francisco, and Elena Jimenez all of Midland; and Jasmine, Leah, and Kirsten Flores all of Abilene; sisters, Elisa Ramos, Gloria Vasquez, Janie Martinez, and Helen Garza all of Midland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ramon and Socorro Bustamante of Midland; brothers-in-law, Ruben, Roy and Raul Bustamante all of Midland and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 837 Jeanette St, Abilene, TX 79602.
