Joe C. Silvas, 65, of Abilene, TX passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, August 20, 2018 in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South with burial to follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery. A visitation will be from 3 to 6 PM Sunday At the funeral home.

Joe C. Silvas was born on March 24, 1953 in Dallas, TX. He is and was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was a very loving person, and was loved by many.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Antonia Silvas, his 3 kids, Julio Silvas, Jose Silvas and wife Brandy Tims, and Brenda and Macario Banda; 10 grandkids and 16 great-grandkids. He also leaves behind his mother Natividad Lopez; 5 brothers, David, Jesse, Lorenzo, Julain and Tony; 4 sisters, Yolanda, Ester, Angie, and Rosemary.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Trinidad and Refaela Charo; 2 siblings, Natie Aranda and Benito Aranda; stepdad, Julian Lopez.
