John Henry Swords

John Henry "Big John" Swords, 64, of Baird, TX, beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend passed suddenly of heart complications at his home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born March 26, 1952, a graduate of Smiley High School and Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force. John is survived by his wife Patricia; his daughter, Kathy and her family; his brothers, Michael, Rodney and Glen; and his sisters, Charlene, Carolyn, Patricia, and Terri. He is predeceased by his parents, Elbert and Virginia; his brothers, Elbert and Robert; his sister, Judy; his son, Seth; grandson, Ethan, and his daughter, Taindee. John will be laid to rest at 12:00p.m., on Friday, October 7, 2016 in Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Abilene, TX, under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. A memorial service will be at a later date.
