Softly and tenderly Josephine C. Schultz passed away after a lengthy illness on October 11, 2019. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home 1507 Hwy. 277 S. Abilene, TX 79606. Inurnment will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
Josephine was born in Mexico to the late Eduardo and Rosa (Villegas) Castillo. She was the devoted wife of the late Theodore H. Schultz. She was a loving, caring, and nurturing woman. She gave unselfishly of herself to provide the needs of her home. She always kept busy preparing delicious meals and ensuring that her home was clean. Josephine possessed a deep faith in God and often sought his guidance and help in prayer. In her final season of life when things became challenging and her discomfort increased her strength and resilience and easy going personality allowed her to never complain. She will be missed by all those who had the privileged of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband; and some of her siblings.
She leaves to cherish precious of memories her children, Maria Crownover, Arthur Thomas Schultz, and Manuela Rosa Gutierrez; siblings, Antonia Ruiz, Magdalena Castillo, Petra Alicia Castollo, and Eduardo Castillo; grandchildren, Erika Crownover, Veronica Crownover, Yvette Gutierrez, Jeanette Ayon (Ernie), Francisco Gutierrez Dillon Cole Schultz (Leah); great grandchildren, Zaden, and Zoe Ayon, Francisco, Roman and Trinity Gutierrez; and a host of other loving family members.
