Josie Mcclellan

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Reverend Leon Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Josie was born August 7, 1939 to Eddie Eunice (Early) and Jody Elijah Moree in Bonham, Texas. She married Doug McClellan April 23, 2002. Josie owned Kats Kleaners for 32 years and was a hard worker. She loved her family and friends. Josie was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and one brother-in-law.

Survivors include her husband, Doug McClellan, of Abilene; four sons, Ricky Sloss (Julie), Preston Sloss (Melanie), Phil Sloss (Tina), and Steve McClellan (Becky); two daughters, Beth Macke and Jana Jones; a sister, Mary "Skeet" Ashabranner; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
