Julia Marie Wells, 93, of Abilene, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Abilene. She was born on April 15, 1930 in Helensburgh, Scotland to the late Malcom MacLeod and Mary Carruthers McIvor MacLeod. In 1965 she married William David Wells in Scotland. He preceded her in death in 2006.
She is survived by one daughter, Angela Mary Orosco and husband George of Abilene; daughter-in-law, Paula Wells of Abilene; grandchildren, Gary Miller and spouse Hunter, Michael Miller and spouse Trisha, Andrew Orosco and spouse Bella, Alisia Dopheid and spouse Richard, Georgie Orosco, Jeanette Orosco, Leisa Gracia and spouse David and Debbie Wells; 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mairi MacLeod; step son, Kenneth Richard Wells and step daughter, Karen Ann Wells.
Graveside services will beat 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Park in Pflugerville, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Eliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
