

June was born on October 7, 1938 in the town of Chatteris in Cambridgeshire, England to the late, Frederick and Rebecca (Crofts) Joyce. At a young age, she learned the value of hard work from working in the fields alongside her parents and siblings. While working at Alconbury AFB in England she met the love of her life Celdon Lee MCClintic whom she married on October 24, 1979. Shortly after marriage, and following his military assignment to Abilene, she moved along with three of her sons. The family made Abilene home. She was an amazing people person and soon secured employment working careers in the hospitality industry including, the Royal Inn Steakhouse, Embassy Suites, and Classic Inn Motel to name a few. Her natural genuine personality made her perfect as she worked her way up to different management positions. She loved games that required risk and chance such a bingo. She was a generous giver to charity’s and special causes. She was member of the Abundant Life Apostolic Ministries in Abilene. June was very strong-willed and while it often displayed itself as stubborn, it is what sustained her through many of life’s challenges and hard times. She will be remembered as a loving, caring, and inspirational family matriarch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Celdon Lee McClintic; 2 infant brothers; 2 brothers, Nick and Fred Joyce; her sister, Mary Maycock.
She is survived by her 4 sons, Steven Allen of Weston Super Mare, England, Paul Allen and wife Blanche of Tye, TX, David Allen and wife Amy of Abilene, TX and Andrew Allen and wife Lorrie of Albuquerque, NM; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Melvin Joyce and sister, Veronica Elms both of England; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and her fur baby, Tippy.
Private family services will be held to celebrate her life and memory.
